Kyverno 1.16 advances policy-as-code in Kubernetes with beta CEL-based policies and partial namespaced CEL support for least-privilege enforcement. It adds full CEL metrics, native events, fine-grained exceptions, and an HTTP authorizer in ValidatingPolicy. The new Kyverno SDK enables ecosystem integrations and custom tooling, with full maturity expected in v1.17.
