This CNCF live event will focus on exploring the capabilities of the Kubernetes HostProcess installer and how it can be leveraged to set up networking and security for a Windows node.
Kubernetes HostProcess installer is a lightweight solution that has recently become generally available for Kubernetes on Windows. This new method provides a different approach to containerization in Windows. The HostProcess installer allows for greater efficiency and easier deployment of Windows worker nodes, making it a promising option for every Kubernetes user, developer, or DevOps engineer. By offering kernel inclusion and easier networking setup, the HostProcess installer solves some of the pain points that users will face when using traditional deployment methods.
In addition to the HostProcess installer, the event will provide attendees with an opportunity to learn about the differences between Linux and Windows containerized environments and helps them to gain insights into how to create and manage their own environments in either an on-premises or cloud-based setup.
At the end of this session, the attendees will be learning the following.
