TALK #1:

"Static credentials are evil" by Martin Kåberg, Principal Architect @ Nordcloud, an IBM Company

Description:

We have had short lived, automatically vended credentials for services to use within one platform, but since about a year we have been able to do it cross platforms as well l. In this presentation I will show how we can access kube from github actions and aws, gcp and azure from a pod.

Bio:

Martin is a Swede living in Denmark for a bit over a year. He has been working with the public cloud for 10+ years

TALK #2:

"War stories from production incidents and what we learned" by Mike Rostermund (Sr. Infrastructure Engineer) and Christian Hvitved (Chief Engineer and CrowdStrike LogScale co-founder) @ CrowdStrike Falcon LogScale (formerly Humio)

Description:

In this presentation we will share a couple of short stories around some of the failures and challenges we have experienced while building and running LogScale - a distributed system handling large volumes of data.

- running a Stateful system on Kubernetes

- building a multi-tenancy system sharing resources between users

- where did all our data just go?

Bio:

Mike Rostermund is an Infrastructure Engineer at CrowdStrike LogScale . He is a maintainer of the CrowdStrike LogScale -operator project, which is used by both CrowdStrike LogScale as well as customers to run and manage CrowdStrike LogScale clusters on top of Kubernetes.

Christian Hvitved is co-founder of CrowdStrike LogScale. Christian worked 10+ years at Trifork and Xamarin/Micrososft building and running mission critical systems. Great believer in continuous-delivery and dev-ops. He sees monitoring and data analysis as a key element in understanding our systems and being able to move fast.
