About this event

[This is a Friday late afternoon happy hour meetup, so grab a beer and let's start the weekend together!]

Many organizations still struggle with selecting the right Kubernetes toolkit. A cloud native setting differs vastly from your traditional enterprise IT architecture. There are subtle but critical details such as what Kubernetes provides vs supports. Self-healing is a good example. While Kubernetes supports self-healing on all necessary levels, it only self-heals pods by default. So what if a node crashes? If requirements like these crystalize during the implementation and you have no solution, it will lead to a painful and costly realization.

During this meetup, Slava, CEO at Kublr, will go through all essential enterprise requirements for a reliable, secure deployment at scale. From infrastructure management to configurability to support of multiple Kubernetes versions. You'll leave with a good understanding of what to look for and what questions to ask when shopping for your Kubernetes provider.

WHAT DOES A VIRTUAL MEETUP LOOK LIKE?
We all love meetups. They offer us the opportunity to network with peers while learning. Although it's more difficult virtually, it's not impossible. Our goal is to make these as close to in-person meetups as possible.

What to expect?
* Small group of attendees
* Quick intro round of all attendees (preferably with camera and beverage in hand)
* Presentation where questions are encouraged. Yes, you may interrupt! Politely, of course.
* Open discussion

This is an experiment for us as well. If you have ideas, feel free to share in our meetup-dc channel on the Kubernetes Slack space. After all, we are all trying to figure out how to translate everyday activities into our new digital reality.
