Running Kubernetes on VMware with Kublr

Cloud Native DC

About this event

[This is a Friday late afternoon happy hour meetup, so grab a beer and let's start the weekend together!]

Born in the cloud, cloud native technologies were initially mostly cloud-centered. As organizations started to reap the benefits of these new technologies, they also sought to leverage them in traditional data centers/on-premise environments.

Kubernetes has the ability to transform your on-prem environments into cloud-like infrastructures. However, running Kubernetes on top of traditional infrastructures doesn't come without its challenges. During this meetup, Slava Koltovich, CEO at Kublr, will demonstrate how you can achieve the same level of resilience, elasticity, and management convenience when running Kubernetes on top of VMware with Kublr.

WHAT DOES A VIRTUAL MEETUP LOOK LIKE?
We all love meetups. They offer us the opportunity to network with peers while learning. Although it's more difficult virtually, it's not impossible. Our goal is to make these as close to in-person meetups as possible.

What to expect?
* Small group of attendees
* Quick intro round of all attendees (preferably with camera and beverage in hand)
* Presentation where questions are encouraged. Yes, you may interrupt! Politely, of course.
* Open discussion

This is an experiment for us as well. If you have ideas, feel free to share in our meetup-dc channel on the Kubernetes Slack space. After all, we are all trying to figure out how to translate everyday activities into our new digital reality.
