Here we go again! We hope everyone had a great summer break; this time, we found a great new venue and partner for the Dutch Kubernetes/Cloud Native Community Group in Amersfoort, a more central city to allow more folks to join.

Abstracts:
First talk: "Scaling Energy Data with Kubernetes at EDSN" - Aris van Ommeren
Every company starts somewhere on their platform journey, but initial choices can eventually limit growth. This talk shares the story of how we transformed a platform bogged down by manual processes, excessive customisation, and slow change management. We’ll cover the steps we took to overcome these challenges, the actions we're taking now, and the plans for future improvements. You'll learn about the technical hurdles we faced, including AWS management, networking, security, and IAM, as well as the organisational shifts in team enablement, business solutions, and fostering an engineering community of practice."
Second talk: Managing traffic when you realise you need to go multicluster - John Keates
As clusters grow in size and quantity and your traffic management gets more involved in the day-to-day operations of your workloads, you will likely run into a multi-cluster traffic management problem: shared external resources. A service mesh helps a lot and brings you additional controls and ecosystems to build with and for east-west traffic some well established patterns exist. But it doesn’t solve cross-cluster ingress cases, cluster failover or clusters-as-cattle. To alleviate these issues, we’re working on a design that leverages dedicated ingress clusters to allow the outside world in, while leaving issues like multi-owner external DNS or shared load balancers at the door.
Transportation:
There's a car park right next door, and it's very inexpensive; let us know if you need the parking expenses covered. Otherwise (greener choice, and we love greener choices! Did you know we're hosting the TAG Environmental Sustainability Week in Amsterdam?), Amersfoort Central station is 8 minutes' walk!
Photography/Video consent:
We will be taking photos and videos during the event and will use these photos and videos for social media and promotional materials. By coming to the meet-up, you give us your consent to take photos and videos of you.
Code of Conduct:
All members are required to agree with the CNCF Events Code of Conduct.
Stay in touch:
Please get in touch on the CNCF #netherlands slack channel for any questions (we're also looking for co-organizers, especially in other cities).
