Welcome to the Cloud Native Asturias Jan'21 event! On this occasion, we have two amazing speakers that bring to the table their cloud-related talks.
Note: All talks will be driven in English
Prow, ChatOps for OpenSource
In his talk, Víctor Suárez DevOps Engineer at Idealista, will talk about Prow, a ChatOps system based on Kubernetes which is used by many OpenSource projects to manage their CI/CD processes. Víctor will drive us across pros, cons, architecture and he will explain to us how to configure Prow for our projects.
Víctor is working as DevOps at the Platform team in Idealista SA since he graduated from college as Software Engineer. He has a special interest in container orchestration and automation processes.
Architectural Caching Patterns for Kubernetes
Kubernetes brings new ideas on how to organize the caching layer for your applications. You can still use the old-but-good client-server topology, but now there is much more than that. This session will start with the known distributed caching topologies: embedded, client-server, and cloud. Then, I'll present Kubernetes-only caching strategies, including:
- Sidecar Caching
- Reverse Proxy Caching with Nginx
- Reverse Proxy Sidecar Caching with Hazelcast
- Envoy-level caching with Service Mesh
