The launch of the Cloud Native meet-up group exceeded our expectations. So thank you for the support!
We are back after the summer holiday with a brand new event, focusing on the 3 high-level pillars of Cloud Native (definition by the CNCF), namely:
• Microservices oriented
• Container Packaged
• Dynamically Scheduled
This event will include 2 talks, one focusing on Microservices and one focusing on the dynamically scheduled pillar using Kubernetes.
17:00: Welcome - Kasper Nissen
17:05: Welcome by Stibo Systems
17:15: "A way to micro services" - Torben B Haagh, Stibo Systems
18:00: Break and sandwiches
18:30: "Kubernetes" - Henrik Høegh, Praqma
20:00: Thank you - and goodbye!
"A way to micro services" - Torben B Haagh, Stibo Systems
Torben started as team lead at Stibo Systems on September 1, 2015. It was a new team working on a new project, which should run in the cloud using a micro service architecture and continues delivery. Everything was new. Torben will discuss the choices made and challenges met in the project. Micro service examples and patterns will also be discussed.
"Kubernetes" - Henrik Høegh, Praqma
Henrik is an Atlassian Expert and official Docker Mentor and regularly provide consultancy, strategic sparring, and presentations around these.
As a DevOps consultant Henrik regularly works with build servers, Container technologies, version control, and agile task management systems but also spend a great deal of time working with general organizational, architectural, and process related challenges for customers.
In this talk, Henrik will be giving an introduction to Kubernetes plus some tools and methods around Kubernetes. The talk will be for the very beginner of Kubernetes, and present examples on how to start using some of the possibilities it offers, like ephemeral systems, secure storage and getting data out of your cluster.
