Calculate aggregate in a stream environment with Apache Flink.
This talk will give an introduction to some of the fundamentals in Apache Flink and then show how to calculate aggregate through tumbling windows. It will show and discuss some of the pitfalls so you will know what to consider before starting implementing a streamed aggregate solution.
He have worked with Flink since 1.2 and other big data projects based on Spark and Mesos.
Lasse has build large distributed database systems with Microsoft SQL server in the past.
A story about the journey on how I got to create an open source project. A fairy tale about Go, Kubernetes and databases. And how our hero got the idea to create something awesome, and perhaps in the end useful for other people.
Currently he is working as Director of Developer Productivity at Tradeshift, where he make tools and systems for getting stuff up in the cloud as fast as possible. Sometimes that actually works!
