Apr 16, 2:00 – 3:00 PM (UTC)
📝 Event Description:
Join us for Episode 5 of the CNCF Projects Tour as we dive into KitOps—an open-source DevOps tool designed to simplify and standardize the lifecycle of AI/ML models.
Moving models from experimentation to production is often painful — Jupyter notebooks, ML tools, and production environments like Kubernetes all have different packaging requirements. KitOps eliminates this friction.
🔧 What is KitOps?
KitOps packages your AI/ML model, dataset, code, and configuration into a reproducible, versioned artifact called a ModelKit. Built on open standards and designed for portability, ModelKits can be stored in existing container registries and deployed anywhere, just like application code.
🔍 In this session, maintainers Shivay Lamba and Gorkem Ercan will explore:
• How KitOps improves model traceability and reproducibility
• The modular power of Kitfiles vs. Dockerfiles
• Using ModelKits for secure SBOM and auditability
• Real-world use cases and integrations with CI/CD pipelines
📅 Date: 16th April 2025
🕢 Time: 7:30 PM to 8:30 PM IST
💻 Format: Virtual
If you're building or deploying AI/ML models and want to treat them like first-class DevOps artifacts, this session is a must-attend.
