CNCF microservices panel and presentations!
The Cloud Native Compute Foundation's (CNCF) mission is to sustain and integrate open source technologies to orchestrate containers as part of a microservices-style architecture. In our next meetup, we will host a microservices panel with CNCF members from Google, Cisco, Lightstep, and Treasure Data. Following the panel, we will have presentations on OpenTracing and FluentD.
6:30 - 7:00: Refreshments and networking
7:00 - 7:45: Welcome & CNCF Microservices Panel
7:45 - 8:15: OpenTracing, Daniela and Joe from LightStep
8:15 - 8:45: FluentD, Anurag Gupta from Treasure Data
CNCF Microservices Panel
In this engaging panel session. CNCF members from Google, Cisco, LightStep and Treasure data will discuss developing, delivering and operating microservices-style applications at scale. Come ready with your questions on CNCF projects and direction.
OpenTracing is a a vendor-neutral open standard for distributed tracing. Microservices-style applications are highly distributed and highly-dynamic in nature. One or the major pain-points of microservices-style architectures si debugging and troubleshooting. In this session Daniela and Joe from Lightstep will provide an overview and demo of OpenTracing and how it can help address the pain of managing distributed services.
Fluentd is an open source data collector for unified logging layer. Fluentd allows you to unify data collection and consumption for a better use and understanding of data. In this session Anurag from Treasure data will provide an overview and demo of FluentD.
