🧑💻 Speakers
Maximilian (evoila) - Automating Kubernetes Clusters with ClusterAPI and ArgoCD: The GitOps Way
Managing Kubernetes clusters at scale requires automation and consistency. In this session, we’ll explore how ClusterAPI and ArgoCD can be combined to fully automate cluster lifecycle management using the GitOps approach. We’ll demonstrate how ClusterAPI provisions and manages Kubernetes clusters declaratively, while ArgoCD ensures continuous reconciliation of cluster state. By integrating these powerful tools, you can achieve a scalable, repeatable, and self-healing Kubernetes infrastructure. Whether you’re running clusters on-prem or in the cloud, this talk will provide practical insights and real-world examples to help you streamline your operations.
Martin Thaller (UiPath) - But I want it NOW! Building a serverless platform with minimal latency
Kubernetes is fantastic at scheduling workloads. But sometimes your cluster needs more nodes to handle the workload and that can take time. But who wants to wait for their pod to be scheduled? Come on a journey through the world of cluster scaling. Meet Cluster Autoscaler, Karpenter and Escalator. Learn their differences and how to use them. See how to optimize your cluster to schedule workloads with minimal latency while keeping costs low.
Dominik Süß (Grafana) - Automagic Observability with eBPF
Instrumenting legacy or closed sourced applications can be a pain. Wouldn’t it be nice to just point a magic wand at a process and enchant it to expose metrics and traces? That magic wand exists and it’s called Beyla! Utilizing eBPF, Beyla can intercept incoming requests and generate traces as well as metrics as if you had instrumented the application yourself. This talk offers an introduction to the Beyla tool and shows you how to utilize it in order to instrument different types of applications. We’ll also go over limitations so you’ll leave the talk knowing if Beyla is right for you (spoiler: it probably is).
