In-person event

About this event

Cloud Native Barcelona will host a free introductory Kubernetes workshop delivered by the trainer Nigel Poulton, author of The Kubernetes Book and Docker Deep Dive. This workshop was a huge success at DockerCon 2019 and will be featured during KubeCon North America 2019 in San Diego.

If you need to get your head around Kubernetes and want to get your hands dirty deploying and managing an app on a real Kubernetes cluster… this workshop is for you!

You’ll start out learning and re-enforcing the basics. Things like, what is a cloud-native microservices app, and what means that “Kubernetes is a cluster and it’s an application orchestrator…”.

You’ll also get your hands-on, with a msb.com account provided by the trainers, that will give you access to several Kubernetes labs. You'll deploy a simple app, demonstrate self-healing, scale it up and down, connect to it from the internet, do a zero-downtime rolling update, and perform a versioned rollback. The account provided during the workshop will be valid for a month!

The session will be in English.
