📚 Talks:

Bow for me for I am CoRoot by Kris Buytaert

Every once in a while, an open-source tool pops up that blows you away … For me, coroot was such a tool, and I'd like to share first impressions with you. Coroot is an ebpf based o11y tool claims to be a competitor to Datadog and NewRelic licensed Apache 2.0 It fits in all ecosystems. This talk will show you what the tool does, how to deploy it, what you can get out of it and what our first impressions were and how it fits into the ecosystem. It might be interesting for both your security and performance challenges

5 Years of OpenTelemetry at Collibra by Alex Van Boxel

Collibra is an early adopter of OpenTelemetry. This talks goes over the war stories on making the telemetry backbone, and how it's plays a crucial role. This talk doesn't go into the backends, where the telemetry data eventually ends up (the datadogs, grafanas, prometheus'es of the world). No we're going to look at the machinery in between... the collection, the transportation, the routing, the curation. OpenTelemetry being an open specification unlocks so much more, you just need to see it. We'll discuss how Collibra uses it, what we do and how it evolved over the years, as well as the obstacles we encountered.

Alex Van Boxel is a Principal System Architect at Collibra. With an engineering background in Research and Development at Alcatel-Lucent, Progress Software, and Veepee he loves to focus on the fundamental building blocks of the software industry. That means reading, understanding, and contributing to specifications, as well as contributing to the Open-Source projects that run through our infrastructure. He is code-owner of two components of the OpenTelemetry collector.

This is the perfect opportunity to dive into observability tools, catch up with the community, and start planning for KubeCon + CloudNativeCon in London just a few weeks later.

🗓️ Save the date and RSVP now to secure your spot!

Don’t forget to share this with your network—let’s spread the word and make some noise!

We can’t wait to see you there! 🎉

Let’s kick off the year with a bang—see you on March 12th! 💥
