We're happy to welcome two presenters (Liz Rice and Petra Bierleutgeb) that are in town for the microxchg conference. The talks will cover two important topics of Cloud Native infrastructures; managing secrets and inter-services communication.
Petra will first take a look at service communication via gRPC and Liz will walk us through how to secure secrets when using containers.
We look forward to seeing everyone for an evening of cloud-native insight.
Snacks & drinks will be provided.

Abstract: gRPC is a modern, high-performance, open-source RPC framework focused on the requirements of connecting polyglot services in microservice-oriented systems. In this talk we will take a closer look at gRPC and its concepts and we will explore how its support of HTTP/2, protocol buffers, type-safety and other goodies make it an attractive alternative to traditional REST/JSON based service communication.
