Lightning talk: Kubernetes vs OpenShift? When to use what.

In-person event

About this event

Choosing technology is a task that many of us have faced, especially when the community makes the possibilities endless. After weighing up the pros-and-cons from Google University and debating amongst the team members, you still have the inkling feeling that you are losing out on something. Is it just our use case is too special, that "the perfect tech" is not available?

In this lightning talk, we will put Kubernetes and OpenShift to a head-to-head combat on community support, documentation, security and ease-of-use. We will the have a discussion around when to use one over the other.

Come prepared with your Kube hat or Red hat... May the best hat win (for that use case 😇)

Presenter: Harry
Harry has deployed both Kubernetres and OpenShift into production environments with a focus on cluster security and development workflow. We will start this lightning talk with a brief presentation of 15 minutes, followed by an interactive discussion session.
[Technicality Rating: 2/4] (1 being not technical and 4 being very technical)
