About this event

This time we've two interesting talks about Cloud Native DevOps: "Kubernetes Operators - The Ops in DevOps" and "Measuring DevOps performance":
----
Talk 1: "Kubernetes Operators - The Ops in DevOps"
Language: English
Speaker: Darko Krizic (PRODYNA)

Kubernetes operators are operators know how in code. They know how to deploy e.g. a MySQL cluster and to configure it, based on a simple declaration as custom resource definition. This make “real” DevOps much easier. This short talk gives you an impression how and how good this works.
----
Talk 2: "Measuring DevOps performance"
Language: English
Speaker: Pavithra Shenoy (Metronom)

In the pursuit of becoming a DevOps organization, the progress seems slow as teams advance, often resulting in depleting motivations. Hence it is important to be aware of the current state to strategize the next steps. One way to make this possible is by measuring the current progress.

The State of DevOps report from Puppet labs defines five stages of DevOps. Providing a canonical way to measure DevOps success of teams encouraging them to grow as high performing teams who deliver faster.
In this talk, you will learn how teams at Metronom have used the DevOps metrics to benchmark their performance and define their path to realize elite performance.
