Hi Everyone,
Hopefully, everybody had a great summer. Our vacations are over and it's really time to get things going again. What better way to get into gears than by running our beloved Java applications on a local Kubernetes environment?
All the details regarding this meetup:
Minikube is a great tool for development and presentations on laptops, but it has some drawbacks. If you are interested in multinode configurations or different network aspects, you cannot work with Minikube anymore. The goal is to have multinode configurations for Kubernetes environments available on laptops, including multimaster setups, multiworker setups, and more. Besides configuration and setup issues (including Vagrant, Oracle VM VirtualBox, LXC, KVM and so on) we show various installation methods (k8s the hard way, kubeadm, kubespray, microk8s, ..) and it's application for a Java Microservice environment. Join us to discuss the pros and cons of the setups shown!
Speaker:
DI Andreas Hochleitner, Solution Architect JavaEE, Docker/Kubernetes, independent IT Consultant
Many thanks to ÖBB for being our hosts tonight!
Happy to see you,
Malte
