Talk 1: CNCF Landscape

Guest Speaker:
K Balakumar
Cloud Consultant

Bio:
Bala is an Architect and a Technology Evangelist but the business outcome is his primary focus.

Have experience in designing and building enterprise-wide on-premise, cloud, and hybrid-cloud solutions but also enabling new business venture as an outcome.

On his own words "Being passionate about research on the latest technologies, trends and business directions, enables me to promote continuous improvements, innovation using leading technologies, motivating people in the leadership team, business and IT towards achieving visionary outcomes".

Abstract:

Since CNCF founded in 2015 by Linux Foundation, there are more than 700 projects added to its Landscape. One way it's good that CNCF is supporting that many projects, on the other end for anyone new to adopt any CNCF project, it will be extremely overwhelming to start from somewhere.

Bala in this session provides an overview of CNCF Landscape it's trends so far and discusses the potential direction where it's heading towards to help provide a quick start to CNCF Landscape.

If time permits, we also can talk about major projects within the CNCF landscape and a potential reference implementation.
