About this event

This event is sponsored by TeamSoft and ARMS Business Solutions

A very exciting month for Cloud Native - Madison. First we will be starting our rotation of locations, so this will be held at Vintage Brewing (more on that coming soon).

Second, we have as speaker, Tyler Treat, Managing Partner from Real Kinetic. Real Kinetic helps software organizations ship confidently through hands-on guidance and mentorship.

Due to bandwitdth constraints at the venue we will be unable to live stream this event. We will be recording the event and posting it to our YouTube channel shortly after.

Agenda -
6:00-6:30: Food and networking
6:30-6:40: Group Update, This Month in Cloud Native
We'll briefly share the results of last month's survey and our plans for next month. Then we'll quickly recap interesting Cloud Native news from the last month.

6:40-7:00: First Speaker
Title: Cloud-Native Observability - Part 1
Speaker: Tyler Treat
Summary: What is observability and how is it different from traditional monitoring? How do we effectively monitor and debug complex, elastic microservice architectures? In this interactive discussion, we’ll answer these questions. We’ll also introduce the idea of an “observability pipeline” as a way to empower teams following DevOps practices.

7:00-7:20: Break

7:20-7:50: Second Speaker
Title: Cloud-Native Observability - Part 2
Speaker: Tyler Treat
Summary: We’ll demo cloud-native observability tools that fit this “observability pipeline” model, including Fluentd, OpenTracing, and Jaeger.
