Title: A Tour of gRPC

gRPC is an incubating Cloud Native project for inter-service communication already in use by many large enterprises. As an alternative or complement to typical REST architecture, gRPC presents many interesting features, including a language-agnostic interface definition, automatic code generation for many languages, and high performance thanks to HTTP/2 and a binary encoding for on-wire data.

In this talk, the speaker will present an overview of gRPC, including it's advantages/disadvantages, how it compares to REST, and a short demonstration on developing with gRPC.
