19:10 — Pablo Chico de Guzmán: Review of Kubernetes Releases (in Spanish)
This talk will analyze the most important features in the last Kubernetes releases. We will go through the official release notes to highlight the most important features, breaking changes, and how to provide feedback to the community about alpha/beta features. We will also make a few demos to visualize the power of some of these features.
Pablo is CTO @Okteto, helping companies to adopt Kubernetes and accelerate the development workflow of applications based on microservices. Previously, he worked @Docker.
19:40 — Javier Provecho: Kubernetes OIDC workload identity for external resources (in Spanish)
Workload identity options, such as GCP Workload Identity or AWS IRSA, are becoming increasingly relevant, but they were primarily limited to authentication against the cloud service provider itself. Starting on Kubernetes 1.24, new workload identity options have been introduced to allow credentialless authentication with any third-party or first-party service following the OIDC standard, enhancing Kubernetes as a platform of platforms. This session will cover new scenarios made possible by these features.
Javier is a Software Engineer @Okteto. He is interested in Kubernetes, other cloud native technologies, and cloud security.
