Felix Dreissig and Severin Neumann who will talk about building containers without Kaniko and Contributing to OpenTelemetry.


Severin Neumann, an OpenTelemetry Governance Committee member. Severin will be presenting "How you can help to expand the observable universe," a session focused on native instrumentation and how your contributions can significantly broaden the horizons of what we can observe and understand in our systems.

Felix Dreissig is an Information Security Specialist working as codecentric AG. Felix will navigate us through building container images using secure alternatives to docker or kaniko. Felix's motivation is to answer the questions such as: why can't we use any regular container build tool for unprivileged operations? What is the current state of unprivileged container image builds?
We learn how modern approaches enhance the security of your build pipeline, increase reliability by reducing reliance on elevated privileges, and simplify your overall build processes.
