Argo is a popular open-source project that helps engineers unleash the full power of Kubernetes and significantly increase productivity. The project consists of four main products that focus on various use cases and together comprise a powerful application delivery platform.
The project was not created overnight. The team behind Argo encountered multiple challenges while running Kubernetes for large enterprise companies. We will share which unsolved use cases lead to the creation of each Argo component, the various decisions we’ve made to share the project into its current form, and our vision of the future of the project.
Argo CD is a product that we created at Intuit and aims to solve a verysolve very an ambitious goal: provide GitOps functions as a service to the whole company. We will present design decisions we've made to reliably serve five thousand engineers. The talk will cover Argo CD scalability and performance tweaks, monitoring and alerting as well as disaster recovery story.
