CNCF Sustainability Week - Taiwan 與 Green Software Foundation 將於台北 Milk Bar by BKA 合辦活動，意旨是希望能透過本活動讓大家初步了解 Cloud Native 與環境可持續性的關係，同時我們也邀請到來自 Green Software Foundation London 的講者 Sarah Hsu 來跟我們分享關於以 Green Software Foundation 的觀點如何推動和落實綠色軟體以及 Morris Wu 來以台灣大型金融業的角度來分享跟講述可持續性軟體工程師的角色和責任。本次活動期望採用與會眾大量互動問答交流的方式，會採用 Lighting Talk 起頭，後續會有 Panel Dicussion 希望大家多多參與互動。

CNCF Sustainability Week - Taiwan x Green Software Foundation will take place at "Milk Bar by BKA" in Taipei, marking the first-of-its-kind meetup in Taiwan. This event aims to provide an overview of environmental sustainability in the cloud-native space. We’re thrilled to have Sarah Hsu, the Green Software Course Project Chair of the Green Software Foundation, as a guest speaker. She will share valuable insights on building, running, and maintaining more sustainable applications. Next, Morris Wu will discuss the roles and responsibilities of a sustainable software engineer working in Taiwan’s sizable financial industry. The evening will kick off with a series of lightning talks, followed by a panel discussion. Please come prepared with questions for an engaging and interactive evening of learning, sharing, and innovation.

What is the CNCF Global Week of Cloud Native Sustainability? It’s an event organized by the Cloud Native Computing Foundation (CNCF) community to address the emerging topic of environmental sustainability in the cloud-native industry and open-source space. The event aims to engage with the community and the IT industry at large, better understand the current environmental sustainability landscape, and promote collaboration and knowledge sharing on this topic.

What is the Green Software Foundation (GSF)? The Green Software Foundation is a recent addition to the Linux Foundation family, with an aim to change how we build software across the IT industry to ensure there are zero harmful environmental effects. The foundation is pursuing this mission by creating a trusted ecosystem of people, standards, tooling, and best practices for building greener software.
