18:00 📦 Beyond Argo Events: Leveraging NATS for Scalable Webhook Management | Or Navon , DevOps at HoneyBook

Building a scalable solution for handling dynamic environments' external webhooks. I will review the infrastructure requirements and our solution, which includes using NATS as a lightweight message queue with JetStream for persistence and delivery guarantees. I will also address the Challenges we encountered while trying to use Argo Events, which led us to developing a custom solution using Go.

The key takeaway is to always give CNCF tools a try cause NATS, for example, did a great job. However, consider that only some projects are mature enough for your use case, and implementing things yourself is very fast these days, especially thanks to AI tools.

Speaker - Or Navon DevOps at HoneyBook. Or Navon is a DevOps engineer with deep knowledge of container internals and extensive experience in cloud-native technologies, CI/CD, and infrastructure as code. Or specializes in Kubernetes, and other CNCF tools, driving scalable solutions for modern software delivery. He also volunteers at Magshimim, promoting tech education. Outside of work, Or enjoys board games, swing dancing, and scuba diving.

18:40 🔭 Cut Down Exhausting Debugging Time with Telepresence | Natalie Penso, Co-Founder and CTO at Anan.tools

Kubernetes has transformed how we manage and scale applications, but it has also introduced complexity in local development and debugging workflows. Telepresence, an open-source tool, bridges the gap between local development environments and Kubernetes clusters, allowing developers to work efficiently without having to deploy code for every small change.

In this hands-on session, Natalie will demonstrate how Telepresence enables seamless development by creating a real-time connection between your local machine and a remote Kubernetes cluster. She’ll cover how to route and debug services locally while they run in a cluster, enabling faster iteration and minimizing deployment friction. Whether you’re working on microservices or large distributed systems, this demo will show you how to keep your workflow smooth and your deployments steady.

Speaker - Natalie Penso, Co-Founder and CTO at Anan.tools. Natalie is a DevOps engineer and the Co-Founder of Anan.tools, with a focus on DevSecOps, SOC, and Compliance. She has extensive experience optimizing Kubernetes workflows for modern development teams.
