If you are switching to a microservice architecture you quickly come to the realization that debugging your software just got significantly harder. Tracing requests between microservices is critical in diagnosing errors and latency. OpenTracing provides a standard for tracing services to implement, and Uber created Jaeger to use the OpenTracing protocal for tracing all their microservice traffic. Then they open sourced it! And on top of that, Jaeger was recently accepted as a graduated product in the Cloud Native Computing Foundation!!!
Come learn about the basics of Jaeger and how it can help your company.
Jason Newman, Chief Architect at Weave will be presenting.
NOTE: normally this meetup is on the second Tuesday of the month, but because of a conflict we are co-sponsoring this with Utah Go Meetup on the first Tuesday.
