About this event

We're kicking off the first of our BC Cloud Native meetups with a talk and conversations with BC.Gov's Todd Wilson about the transformation of the BC.Gov into Agile Cloud Natives.

Todd is part of the team leading a transformation towards UX/Agile/DevOps service development teams across the BC government. We have embarked on a journey to leverage open source development to create new ways for innovators in the tech sector and government to work together, grow B.C.’s

economy, and make services for British Columbians better.

Red Hat's Diane Mueller will open the evening with an introduction to what it means to be a Cloud Native. For those of you who are curious, check out https://cncf.io for some background.

Diane is the director of Community Development for Red Hat and leads Red Hat's  OpenShift Origin open source  project, the Enterprise Ready Kubernetes for Developers - if you haven't checked out OpenShift, you haven't seen Kubernetes at it's finest yet!

We'll have a few guest(s) in the audience from various and sundry Cloud projects including Dell's Judd Matlin chair of the OpenShift on OpenStack SIG.

As this is our kick off talk, we're interested in hearing what projects you are working as well, so come prepared to collaborate!

We are thrilled that Change.Org has agreed to host this Kick-off event at their amazing space located at #202 - 1221 Broad St. Victoria BC, in the Victoria-All Hands room!
