Are you using Cloud Native methods with Kubernetes? This talk will give you a useful set of tools to make your work faster, save money, and keep your applications running smoothly.
We’ll learn how to:

- Build Locally with Confidence: Skip the tricky parts of KinD and use lima-vm for easier local Kubernetes setups, especially if you need custom disks or special networking.
- Keep Your System Clean Automatically: Stop wasting resources with kube-janitor and descheduler, which automatically clean up things you don’t need and put your applications in the best spots.
- Find and Avoid Problem Hardware: Save money by not using servers that are failing. Node-problem-detector and sciuro will help you find and avoid bad nodes.
- Make Deployments Faster: Keep your container images close to where they’re used with zot and spegel. This will make your applications start faster and work better.

Who is Michał Sochoń
Starting in IT over 20 years ago as an IT helpdesk, moving towards servers management, through building things in AWS EC2 Classic and onward through AWS ECS. At first experiencing kubernetes in GKE, later doing things in AWS/Azure. Currently working with multicloud setups helping in the team to manage over 400 kubernetes clusters in major cloud providers. At home fiddling with k3s.
