MCP, Model Context Protocol, is clearly the hot topic of 2025 and while we are seeing more and more interesting use cases around this, no one has really yet focused on all the metadata that MCP brings to the table: Tools description, Tool parameters description, prompt description. All of this is really useful information that can be used by the developer building AI Infused applications.

It’s also totally aligned with the Platform Engineering vision which tries to streamline the service catalogs to its platform user.
