"Extending Kubernetes with Purpose-built Services" will provide some insight into ways to reduce the complexity of a Kubernetes deployment. We will outline 6 high-value services from AWS which will help us to carve off parts of our deployment to leverage a managed service to provide a higher level of service for a specific piece of functionality. The goal of this is to ease the barrier to entry into a Kubernetes micro-services architecture by eating the elephant one bite at a time.
We will focus on the following AWS services:
- RDS Aurora
- DynamoDB
- SQS
- SNS
- SES
- SSM
