Curious about becoming a contributor in the Cloud Native Computing Foundation (CNCF) ecosystem? Join us for a special session with Destiny O'Connor, a Deaf CNCF contributor and former co-chair of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing WG, as she shares her inspiring journey from newcomer to active contributor, and learn how you can become a contributor too!
Are you curious about how to get involved in CNCF projects, even if you’re new to open source or come from a non-coding background? In this Deaf in Cloud Native meetup, our special guest, Destiny, will share her inspiring journey from newcomer to contributor in the Cloud Native Computing Foundation (CNCF).
Whether you're Deaf, Hard of Hearing, or just new to cloud native, this session will help you:
- Understand CNCF’s ecosystem and how to get involved
- Learn different types of contributions (code & non-code)
- Discover accessible ways to get started
- Hear real stories about overcoming barriers in open source
Join us for an informative and encouraging session hosted by Milad, who’ll also share his own CNCF journey and lessons learned!
This event will be conducted in American Sign Language (ASL) with support for questions in chat.
To ensure this is an interactive event and optimize the experience for the live and on-demand audience, we'll be using Zoom to "meet" each other and communicate with one another (it's a meetup, after all) and YouTube to watch the presentation. We recommend you watch this on a monitor where you have Zoom and YouTube open side by side. Zoom interactions will not be recorded. We'll share the YouTube link during the meet & greet. We look forward to seeing you!
