As we look back at our wonderful experience at KubeCon+CloudNativeCon in London, it's been 3 months already. The Deaf in Cloud Native community had a historic moment, and this is the time to get together for it.

This event honors the first-ever solo keynote delivered by one of our own members, Rob Koch, Co-Chair of the CNCF DHHWG. Rob will share the behind-the-scenes story of his groundbreaking presentation, "Empowering Accessibility Through Kubernetes: The Future of Real-Time Sign Language Interpretation" that attracted a lot of attentions from a wider audience. This is also your chance to find out about his personal journey to the main stage.

Following Rob's story, community leaders Milad Vafaeifard and CNCF Ambassador Anastasiia Gubska will share their key takeaways. Then, we'll open the floor for a community roundtable where everyone can ask questions and take highlights away from the conference. This is also a great opportunity to reconnect with the community and celebrate a major milestone together. Everyone is welcome to join!

Please note that this session will be primarily presented in American Sign Language (ASL). We welcome everyone to engage and ask questions in ASL or IS (International Sign Language) during the meet-and-greet and Q&A sessions. If you prefer, you can also ask questions in written form!

Logistics

To ensure this is an interactive event and optimize the experience for the live and on-demand audience, we'll be using Zoom to "meet" each other and communicate with one another (it's a meetup, after all) and YouTube to watch the presentation. We recommend you watch this on a monitor where you have Zoom and YouTube open side by side. Zoom interactions will not be recorded. We'll share the YouTube link during the meet & greet.
