Microsoft is hosting us at their Schiphol office, January 27th.

This meetup is part of the "Road to FOSDEM" (#roadtoFOSDEM), a selection of meetups leading up to the FOSDEM conference in Brussels. Selection done by Microsoft the Netherlands & Belgium.

Taylor Thomas is a Senior Software Engineer working on Helm and other open source tooling at Microsoft. He has been involved with containers and Kubernetes platforms at Intel, Nike, and Microsoft and is one of the core maintainers of Helm. He currently lives in Utah, USA and enjoys hiking and camping. He has given talks at several KubeCons, Velocity Conf, and Helm Summit on a wide variety of container-related topics.

Taylor will give an overview of the work Microsoft has been doing in the open source Cloud Native area, with deep dives where the audience requests.

Don Goodman Wilson (@DEGoodmanWilson) worked at Slack, Screenhero and was most recently with GitHub working on their flagship developer events like GitHub Universe and Satellite.
Don is a board member for the Maintainerati Foundation, which is a global platform for Open Source maintainers.

Don will talk about the future of Open Source Software, ethical software development, and the Hippocratic License.
