--------------------------
"Stop ranting, Start enabling - Using PHP cloud native" - Wiard van Rij | Fullstaq
Talk:
I challenged myself to run Wordpress cloud native on kubernetes. Contrary to the general belief, it can actually run fine.
During this talk I will go over my war story of running Wordpress as a "12 factor app" in Kubernetes and how it changed peoples perspective of Wordpress.
The same principles can (should) be applied to any application.

Bio:
I'm Wiard van Rij, nowadays a {insert buzzword} Engineer, but originally a PHP developer for over 8 years.
I've made this transition gradually as the result of wanting to enable teams and people to work closer with eachother.
Luckily I have been involved in various high traffic websites as both dev and ops, setting up devops practices and fiddling around with Kubernetes ;)
In my spare time I also tend to hack things.

--------------------------
"Running Shopware in Kubernetes" - Sander Dingen & Thijs Hulshof
Talk:
Kubernetes offers a lot of advantages that could benefit shops built in Shopware. Especially when it comes to high-availability and scalability, but it provides a powerful way to automate your deployments. However, Shopware is not built to run in Kubernetes. During this talk, Sander Dingen and Thijs Hulshof will talk about the challenges it entails to transform Shopware into a stateless, Kubernetes-ready application.

Bio:
Sander is Cloud Architect at Cloudlets and helps customers migrating legacy applications to containers. Thijs, as a Cloud Consultant, has a key role in consulting on how to get the most out of each application and your infrastructure in a cloud-native context.
