Secret Management in Kubernetes is getting harder every day for all because of the secret sprawl, toils needed to take care of, manual operations and configurational problems. Easiest way was to manage secrets from Kubernetes with Kubernetes Secret objects. Most Kubernetes users started managing their environments from Kubernetes so why not secrets? External Secrets Operator (ESO) allows you to automate the synchronization of secrets data from Secrets Management Providers into Kubernetes clusters in the form of Kubernetes secrets. In this talk, I will explain the concept, the architecture, and current state of the ESO project.
