Talk #1 (Beginner track): Understanding Kubernetes API Primitives and Objects

Speaker: Go Frendi Gunawan (ML Engineer, Kata.ai)

Frendi was working as a teacher for the past 10 years [masked]). He is currently working at kata.ai as Backend Engineer since 2018. He's interested in distributed system in general. At this talk, he will share the internals of Kubernetes API and objects, how the client request comes along the way to call the API, and how the request interacts with object specs.

Talk #2 (Intermediate track): Kubernetes the Hard Way

Speaker: Estu Fardani (DevOps Engineer, Wartek)

Estu is currently working as DevOps Engineer at WarTek. He started using Kubernetes in production from Aug 2018 on various cloud providers.

At this talk, he will give his story about how their team build the Kubernetes cluster in the hard way. Although he is still using cloud providers with Kubernetes support, his team decided to use Kubeadm to create Kubernetes cluster. They had to customize existing configuration.

Estu will show you how they do that with his way. How big is his system design. And what he learned after he successfully runs production services in Kubernetes cluster.
