Hi Jakarta Kubernauts! It's the time of Kubernetes meetup again. Welcome to our fifth episode of Kubernetes meetup in Jakarta. This May meetup is special Ramadhan edition, sponsored by DeepTech Foundation. This time, we will do it on Saturday afternoon before Iftar.
We are starting this meetup to help people getting aware of Kubernetes power, learning how people use and contribute to it. If you are new to Kubernetes, don't worry since we aim to spend 1 talk in every episode to walk you through Kubernetes fundamentals by following standard curriculum. For avid user, we also have the other talk for more intermediate/advanced topic. We will also try to walk you through the sea of update in Kubernetes and cloud native community every month.

Talk #1 (Beginner track): Kubernetes Service / Life of Packet
Speaker: Arkan Muhammad Irsyad (Full Stack Engineer @Pahamify)
Arkan is currently architecting and helping out building early stage ed-tech startup as full stack engineer. He will give technical overview on Kubernetes Service/Networking concept, explaining how elements communicating each other through network, including node-to-node, pod-to-pod, node-to-internet, etc.
Talk #2 (Intermediate track): Journey and Tips Passing CKA Certification
Speaker: Husni Alhamdani (DevOps Engineer @ECnet)
Husni (Hudani) has been working for several software companies outside Indonesia. He loves and has been practicing DevOps for about 2 years, COA and CKA certified, which he just passed recently! During this talk he will share what really is CKA (Certified Kubernetes Administration) about. And, how to prepare and what are tips for passing the CKA exam.
Talk #3 (Extras): How to Become K8s Contributor / Contribute to sig-docs
Speaker: Giri Kuncoro (@GOJEK) / Irvi Aini (@Traveloka)
Giri and Irvi started SIG Docs ID in Kubernetes organization. The SIG attempts to translate the whole kubernetes.io documentation to Indonesian language. They will share and show you how anyone can become Kubernetes contributor easily by helping the translation effort. Contributing is not just about coding, but also about helping out the community.
