Hi Jakarta Kubernauts! It's the time of Kubernetes meetup again. Welcome to our second episode of Kubernetes meetup in Jakarta. This February meetup is sponsored by Biznet Gio.
We are starting this meetup to help people getting aware of Kubernetes power, learning how people use and contribute to it. If you are new to Kubernetes, don't worry since we aim to spend 1 talk in every episode to walk you through Kubernetes fundamentals by following standard curriculum. For avid user, we also have the other talk for more intermediate/advanced topic. We will also try to walk you through the sea of update in Kubernetes and cloud native community every month.

Instruction to get into the venue:
- Motorcycle parking from Midplaza 2 entrance (in front of Hotel Ayana) – park in B2
- Car parking in Midplaza 1, Midplaza 2 or Hotel Ayana area
- MidPlaza 1, MidPlaza 2 and Hotel Ayana are connected through basement
- Register with your ID when you get into the lobby in MidPlaza 1 or MidPlaza 2, to get access inside the building
- Use elevator in MidPlaza 2 and get to 15th floor
- Meetup registration is done at 15th floor

Speaker: Giri Kuncoro (System Engineer @GOJEK)
Giri works for GOJEK in Cloud Foundation team on various Kubernetes initiatives. Prior to join GOJEK, he was one of early members of Pivotal Container Service and VMware Kubernetes Engine projects in Silicon Valley, where he became top 3 of VMware contributors to Kubernetes ecosystem. This talk is part of Kubernetes Fundamentals series. He will cover Kubernetes architecture overview and various tools that will help you get a cluster, inspired by Linux Foundation's course.
Talk #2 (Intermediate track): Kubernetes at Bukalapak, An SRE Perspective

Christoper Hans is working as SRE at Bukalapak. Together with SRE team, Chris main duty is to safeguard the performance and reliability of Bukalapak services. His responsibilities include helping developer team at Bukalapak to create, maintain, and optimise their services SLAs, establishing standardised best practices and guidelines based on lesson learned and post-mortems, and make services and tooling to automate menial day-to-day tasks that can enhance developer productivity.
