Kubernetes Community Day Mumbai will be an in-person community-organised event that brings together cloud native enthusiasts, professionals, and industry leaders to share knowledge, best practices, and experiences related to Kubernetes and cloud-native technologies. The event features a range of sessions, workshops, and networking opportunities. Join us at this one-of-a-kind event to learn from some of the best minds in the field, meet fellow enthusiasts, and network with industry experts.
We look forward to receiving applications from experienced speakers and newcomers alike. We will announce the final agenda for the event in May 2023. We welcome submissions with different talk formats including workshops, lighting talks, BoF sessions, and regular, 30-minute talks. The themes we are targeting are:

My name is Engin Diri and I work for more than 15 years in the IT industry. Started as a Java developer and went there from fronted to backend development until I found my sweet spot in all things related to CI/CD and cloud topics. I love everything about Cloud, Cloud Transformation and Enablement. I am a multi-cloud person with a strong passion for Kubernetes. Furthermore, I am very curious and love to try out new technologies.
Ram Iyengar is an engineer by practice and an educator at heart. He was (cf) pushed into technology evangelism along his journey as a developer and hasn’t looked back since! He enjoys helping engineering teams around the world discover new and creative ways to work. He is a proponent of product development and engineering teams that put the community first.
Wilfred Almeida is a FullStack developer with expertise in various technologies. He has experience working on the frontend using Flutter for mobile development, and on the backend with NodeJS and Golang. Additionally, he has proficiency in working with databases, both SQL and NoSQL.
Wilfred is also skilled in deployment technologies such as NGINX, Docker, Kubernetes, and Harbor. He is knowledgeable in continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) techniques, including GitHub Actions and ArgoCD.
Akash is a passionate and motivated professional with five years of cloud-native experience. He is a Consultant at Kubermatic with a focus on helping customers get the best out of cloud-native adoption. He is also an open-source enthusiast and has contributed to various CNCF projects including Helm and Cluster API provider for AWS (k8s-sig).
Harsh is a technologist passionate about developer experience, APIs, and storage. Working at a cloud provider, he has experience in developing scalable platforms and is exposed to a lot of cloud-native technologies. He began his developer journey by contributing to Open Source Projects. He’s also keen on spreading what he learns through local meetups and global conferences like KubeCon, HashiConf, etc. Also, he's always up for a good game of chess
Prasad works as a Tech Lead at InfraCloud Technologies (infracloud.io). His main areas of interest are Kubernetes, distributed systems, and Open-source. He is the creator of BotKube (botkube.io), and an active contributor to Kanister.
In this talk, we will be discussing the importance of securing your Kubernetes cluster and how you can do it using the powerful tool, "m9sweeper." As the adoption of Kubernetes continues to grow, it has become more critical to prioritize the security of your cluster.
"M9sweeper" is an open-source security tool that is designed to detect and identify vulnerabilities and misconfigurations in your Kubernetes deployment. It offers a comprehensive set of checks that cover a broad range of security aspects, including network policies, access control, encryption, and pod security.
We will also highlight some of the key benefits of using this tool, including the ability to automate security checks, improve compliance, and increase the overall resilience of your cluster.
I am a Developer Advocate at solo.io, and a Community evangelist running Keep Up as well as the DevOps community to empower students as well as professionals to achieve success in their careers. I am actively participating in various conferences as a speaker and panelist to bring awareness around DevOps, Security, and Application networking.
Divya is a Senior Technical Evangelist at SUSE, where she contributes to Rancher’s cloud native open source projects. She co-chairs the documentation for the Kubernetes & LitmusChaos projects & has previously worked extensively in the systems engineering space during her tenure with HSBC & IGate Global Solutions Pvt Ltd. A co-creator of the KCNA exam & a CNCF ambassador, she is invested in making technical communities & technologies more accessible & inclusive.
Shivay Lamba is a software developer specializing in DevOps, Machine Learning and Full Stack Development.
He is an Open Source Enthusiast and has been part of various programs like Google Code In and Google Summer of Code as a Mentor and is currently a MLH Fellow. He has also worked at organizations like Amazon, EY, Genpact. He is a Tensorflow.JS SIG member and community lead from India.
Saiyam is working as Director of Technical Evangelism at Civo with a focus on defining the Civo cloud platform for simplifying Kubernetes and making it accessible for developers. Previously at Walmart Labs, Oracle, and HP, Saiyam has worked on many facets of k8s including machine learning platform, scaling, multi-cloud, managed k8s services, and k8s documentation. He's worked on implementing Kubernetes solutions in different organizations.
When not coding, Saiyam works on contributing to the community by writing blogs and organizing local meetups for Kubernetes and CNCF. He is also a Portainer/Traefik/CNCF ambassador and can be reached on Twitter @saiyampathak.
Saurabh is a Tech enthusiast with over a decade of experience in the software industry. His focus areas and expertise is around Open-source,Cloud, DevOps, Kubernetes, Security. He is currently associated with Vultr Cloud as a Solutions Architect (APAC). You can find him speaking at community meetups and conferences and is a part of CNCF Speaker’s Bureau
