KCDS (Kubernetes Community Days) are community-organized events supported by the Cloud Native Computing Foundation (CNCF) that focus on cloud native technologies, particularly Kubernetes. These events are designed for education, collaboration, and networking within the open-source and cloud-native communities. KCDs aim to grow and sustain Kubernetes and other Cloud Native communities by offering a platform for local networking and sharing knowledge.
Key aspects of KCDS:
Community-Organized:
KCDs are not directly organized by CNCF but by local communities, ensuring they are tailored to the specific needs and interests of the region.
Focus on Cloud Native Technologies:
They are focused on technologies like Kubernetes, containers, and other related tools, which are all part of the broader cloud native ecosystem.
Purpose:
KCDs aim to foster a sense of community, provide education, and offer networking opportunities for developers and other professionals working with cloud native technologies.
Local and Global Impact:
While KCDs are locally organized, they contribute to the global growth and sustainability of the Kubernetes and broader cloud native communities.
