Although the concept of DevOps has been around for several years, the same mistakes continue to occur in many projects. These include both technical errors (such as choosing the wrong programming languages or tools) and managerial errors (such as inappropriate selection of administrators or a lack of understanding of processes within the organization). The presenter shares their experience from over two decades of work in various organizations managing infrastructure to facilitate the identification of errors during DevOps implementation and reduce the risk of failure.

A collective is a group of specialists from a particular industry, united by similar values and work methods. They operate and function with a common purpose or interest, often centered around their own brand based on shared DNA. Collectives collaborate to create value greater than the sum of individual achievements. During a brief presentation, I will highlight the concept of collectives, with a focus on the IT industry and practical aspects of their functioning, drawing from my own experiences and real-life examples.

About the speaker:

Over 20 years of experience in positions currently referred to as DevOps. My interests include Cloud Native, Programmable Infrastructure, Container Orchestration, and Serverless. In recent years, I’ve assisted various enterprise-scale organizations in implementing Cloud Native architecture using Kubernetes as the core ecosystem. I’m deeply involved in various community initiatives related to Cloud Native and DevOps (a member of CNCF), and I organize various meetings and conferences such as Cloud Native Warsaw, Cloud Native and Kubernetes Warsaw User Group, DevOps Days Warsaw, and PyData Warsaw. Personally, I’m a big fan of electromobility and any eco-friendly solutions that reduce our planet’s resource consumption
