2) Kubernetes fundamentals by Igor Vuk, Nimium
Abstract: A short lecture covering the basic building blocks of Kubernetes, along with some potential pitfalls that sysadmins might run into when managing on-premise Kubernetes deployments.

Bio: Igor is a system administrator, working for a small company called Nimium d.o.o. In his free time, he likes to tinker with various hardware and software.

3) Containers on IoT ARM devices: Kubernetes, docker and other hells, Neven Miculinić, Kraken
Abstract: Deploying Kuberentes worker nodes on edge IoT devices brings considerable challenges. Those are often low powered ARM devices, sometimes not even having hardware floating point co-processor. They are RAM limited, and even their persistent store, eMMC, isn't top performing hardware. In this talk, I present optimization tuning and various tradeoffs for running kubernetes workers and container runtime on IoT ARM devices.

Bio: His parents committed a grave mistake, and at age 12 introduced him to Pascal and Logo. Since then he's programmed in various languages, from C, C++ to Haskell and Go. Distributed systems and machine learning are his interest areas, as well as watching Marvel action movies. Aside from free time tinkering he gathers his experience in international internships, creating AI Battleground project, and MinION deep learning basecaller (bioinformatics). Currently he's DevOps/SRE at Kraken.

Abstract: This talk will give a primer how to integrate application
security practices into your organization, how to think about devsecops and how to merge those two with classic information security practices in order to have a modern, cloud native security practice in your organization.

Bio: Tonimir Kišasondi is the founder of Oru, a boutique information security consultancy from Varaždin, Croatia. In his spare time, he’s involved with the OWASP project where he leads the Croatia chapter and contributes to various open source tools. His professional and research area of interest is security architecture, application security, security testing & analysis and applied cryptography.
