In this presentation, Joe will demonstrate how to configure Loki, Prometheus, and Grafana to monitor a Kubernetes cluster. It will cover the setup and configuration of the mentioned applications as well as an introduction to using PromQL and LogQL to query your metrics and logs. All applications demonstrated will be open source and completely free to use, experiment with, and contribute to!

Speaker bio: Joe Elliott

Joe Elliott is a Backend Developer at Grafana Labs. He works primarily on the open-source projects Cortex and Loki, but he also maintains Grafana's internal Jaeger tracing infrastructure. Joe has been a resident of Louisville for 35 years and, when he's not writing software, can be probably found riding his bike around Cherokee park.
