We are excited to announce the December meetup scheduled for Wednesday December 18th.
The 2 biggest technology events of the year (Kubecon and Re: Invent) have just concluded and Brent who attended both conferences will give us some big updates regarding Kubernetes, EKS, and Fargate.
Brent will take a look at some recent announcements from AWS...
From Kubecon, we will take a look at EKS managed nodes, and compare those to using your own instances.
From AWS Re: Invent we will take a look at AWS Fargate for EKS and see how that can be used to simplify your scaling and security footprint.
In a live demo, we will deploy sample workloads to each execution platform and discuss the differences.
Brent Langston is a co-sponsor for our Meetup. Brent is a Developer Advocate at Amazon Web Services. He is a software engineer / container fan / Sooner fan / BBQ enthusiast / and the creator of ECSworkshop.com. Prior to joining Amazon, Brent helped build Tumblr, Spotify, Oscar Health, and CloudPassage.
