About this event

We are excited to announce the March meetup scheduled for Wednesday March 20th.

Did you know that Kubernetes StatefulSets leveraging databases like Redis, Mysql, ETCD, Postgress are the most common technologies running on Docker? Well, if you don't understand persistent volumes, you cannot implement statefulSets because they require persistent volume to be available to preserve the state of the databases.

Rook, is an CNCF project for storage. It has the capability to implement Object, Block and File systems backends. The most widely used backends for Rook are CEPH, NFS, GlusterFs.

In this Talk, Damian will present all you need to know to get started on using persistent volumes with Kubernetes. The presentation will consist of hands-on demos and talk.
