We are excited to announce the July meetup scheduled for Wednesday July 17th.
Speaker from https://www.instana.com/
The goal of this workshop is to familiarize attendees with the benefits that modern observability tools provide to the builders and curators of cloud native applications.
In this instructor-demo workshop, attendees will learn how deploy prometheus and jaeger in support of observing and monitoring a distributed microservices application running in a K8S cluster on GKE, and how to instrument that application by introducing libraries and tooling to support capturing business metrics as well. We'll discuss how distributed tracing works, the problems it helps developers solve, and some of the benefits and limitations of the do-it-yourself approach. Attendees can then try the workshop on their own time.
