We are excited to announce the August meetup scheduled for Wednesday August 21.

Accessing a Kubernetes API goes through several stages (Authentication, Authorization and Admissions controls). This talk is on understanding the stages of accessing the Kubernetes API with more emphases on Admission Controllers. In this talk, you will learn about Admission controllers, types of admission controllers, accessing Kubernetes objects through API, how admission controllers work and use cases. This talk will have a workshop on an example admission Webhook in Go that highlights Mutating and validating Webhooks.

Speaker Bio

Tunde Olu-Isa has been involved with building and scaling application in the cloud native ecosystem. He is a Senior Customer Reliability Engineer at VMware(via Heptio Acquisition) helping large enterprises to run Highly available production performant systems and as well as providing recommendations and advice on best practices on Kubernetes and Cloud Native projects. He is also a co-organizer of DevOps Meetup Dallas and has spoken in several Local Meetups in Dallas.
