7:00 - General announcements and news

7:15 - Kubernetes Pod Security Policies Framework - Jason Price

The security story around Kubernetes is... complex. Pod Security Policies (PSPs) are a way to secure container workloads in Kubernetes, effectively restricting kernel rights available to processes running inside your pods. This talk will discuss a full framework for deploying PSPs and managing exceptions.

Jason is a long time infrastructure nerd. Ask him about AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, and infrastructure in general.

7:30 - Kubernetes Traffic Patterns – Shahar Levy (VMware)

Shahar will walk through traffic patterns in Kubernetes. We will introduce ingress resources, north-south and east-west routing, canary deployments, and other considerations to make related to routing traffic in your cluster.

Shahar is a Site Reliability Engineer at VMware. He helps teams across VMware increase their availability and decrease their incident time to resolution.

7:55 - Kubernetes Continuous Delivery @ SalesLoft - Moshe Shitrit (Salesloft)

In this talk I'll present how we have built our in-house CD solution. It is interesting because it involves a lot work that was done around Kubernetes, leveraging concepts such as CRDs, Controllers etc.

Moshe is a Site Reliability Engineer at SalesLoft. He also has just started taking his first steps as a Kubernetes Contributor, mostly focused on kops & kubernetes-python client.
