About this event

Hello South Bay Kubernetes Enthusiasts!

I hope the New Year is treating everyone well. We have some exciting talks lined up for this month's meetup. We have two talks scheduled this month.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Talk 1:
Kubernetes in Production: Things I Wish I Knew
The Kubernetes community moves fast, and that makes running production Kubernetes clusters challenging. Branch has been running production clusters for over a year and this talk will cover some important decisions to make when designing a production cluster and some considerations around running and managing it.

Hubert Chen
Systems Architect at Branch
Hubert Chen is System Architect at Branch. Hubert has spent 20 years in Silicon Valley as system administrator and devops. He has a passion for Kubernetes, developer productivity, and distributed systems.

Talk 2:

Ever wondered what's the best way to run Continuous Integration on Kubernetes?
I'll discuss best practices and the advantages of running CI on Kubernetes. I'll also introduce a new tool for making the most of CI and Kubernetes together--Koki CI. Koki CI is the first fully Kubernetes-native CI system, and it provides an expressive functional language with Kubernetes as a first-class citizen. Come away with some new ideas about what CI can do for you.

Kynan Rilee
Kynan Rilee is a Founding Engineer at Koki corp, where he builds systems for automating, managing
and maintaining modern infrastructure on Kubernetes. Kynan is an ex-Googler and a graduate of Princeton University who brings deep expertise in Infrastructure, DevOps and Functional Programming.
